Indeed.  However, if you manually edit the geoip_db_paths file, yes, the one
that says "DO NOT MODIFY" ;), you can add ".\GeoIP" if you really want to.  The
only trick is that you have to add it as follows:

        # This file is automatically generated, DO NOT MODIFY.
        ".\x5cGeoIP"

I also tried "\x2e\x5cGeoIP", and that also worked, but ".\GeoIP" does not.
