Hello!

I just tried the current CVS code to compile under SINIX-N 5.43 (32-Bit
UNIX from Siemens for MIPS R4000) and found, that tethereal can capture (as
root) data without problems but ethereal itself only thinks it can but in fact
the status window shows always only 0 packtes. I'm currently comparing the
different caputure source code but need some assistance. Can I simply switch on
some debugging?

tethereal has also some small problems but it seems to work anyway:
> ./tethereal -i /dev/dlpi/et0
Warning: Couldn't obtain netmask info (SIOCGIFADDR: /dev/dlpi/et0: Invalid argument)
.Capturing on /dev/dlpi/et0
...

I case someone needs some more info: here is the usual version output:
> ./tethereal -v
tethereal 0.8.17, with GLib 1.2.8, with libpcap 0.5, with libz 1.1.3, without SNMP
> ./ethereal -v
ethereal 0.8.17, with GTK+ 1.2.8, with GLib 1.2.8, with libpcap 0.5, with libz 1.1.3, without SNMP

Bye, Uwe
