OK.  Thanks.  I suspect they are somehow related to the host.  For different Ethereal captures, I will see the exact same sequence of retransmissions for GIOP.   Also for FTP.  Somehow the host resources must be not able to keep up...or other.  But your right, I need to dig in and figure it out.
