As far as I know Sebastien Tandel's patch is not yet checked in:

so you can't use proto_tree_add_item and RVALS stuff with range_string


Could anyone please  provide any suggestion to this regard .


have a look at packet-ansi_map.c or packet-ospf.c and
doc/README.developer about range_string usage.
