That's strange.  I tried it with a 1.8.0 version of PortableApps Wireshark, and
it saved it as follows:

        # This file is automatically generated, DO NOT MODIFY.
        "\x5cDocuments\x5cWireshark\x5cGeoIP"

... which is just "\Documents\Wireshark\GeoIP" and which is what appears in the
GeoIP database directories list.  Maybe it doesn't like the '.'?
