Wireshark consistently crashes Windows XP (Service pack 2) PCs with WinPCap
4.0. Windump and the drivers appear to be fine. The crashes also occur using
WinPCap 3.1 with Wireshark 0.99.5, as well as Ethereal 0.99.0 with WinPCap 3.1.
The time and amount of traffic received will crash the XP machines within a
couple of minutes of capturing interfaces.
If there is a method to capture the traffic without causing the machine to
crash, I could provide you with more details.
Thanks,
Christy Winters
