I am using ethereal for a course on networking (see:
http://www.cs.virginia.edu/~cs551ie or
http://www.cs.virginia.edu/vintlab).

In my lab exercises I require the following caputre preferences:

    1. capture .. in promiscuous mode: ON
     2. update ... in real-time:              OFF
    3. Automatic scrolling ..                ON
    4. MAC resolution                       OFF
    5. Name resolution:                      OFF
    6. Transport name resolution        OFF

Is it possible to set the capture preferences such that these preferences
are
the default? If so, how do I do it. (We are running Linux Redhat).

Any help would be appreciated.
