That SRPM includes the patch to fix the problem - presumably you applied
the "libpcap-0.4-guy-gerald.patch16" patch?

If you did apply that patch, please try running Ethereal with "strace",
and show us the last 10 lines or so of "strace" output before it hangs.

If you didn't apply that patch, apply it and rebuild the binaries.
