I.e., make it transparent, so that, say, on a desktop, it's the "e" on
the standard desktop background?

BTW, any suggestions for an icon for capture files, to use with desktop
file managers?  (At least for KDE, and perhaps for GNOME as well, it'd
require consing up MIME types for "libpcap", Network Monitor, "snoop",
etc. capture files if you want to be able to click on the file and run
Ethereal on it; I guess "application/x-<whatever>" would do.)
