tethereal doesn't use dumpcap, so it's not finished yet.
Agreed, in addition to the facts I've mentioned earlier.

Get us a nice file dialog for Unix/Linux as well.
Hmmm, it seems that no one is really pleased by that dialog. We may have a talk with the GTK/GNOME developers on this ;-)

However, I know from JAVA development that designing a good platform independent file chooser dialog is a really difficult task. It just doesn't "feel" right ...

I don't think so. We really shouldn't be doing a package management
stuff inside each application.
I would think of this as a Win32 only feature, but a very important one. Win32 doesn't provide a package manager except for the SUS/WSUS services which are for Microsoft components/applications only. I never understood why MS doesn't provided this feature to other applications?!? But please, I don't want to see any discussion on the Win32 vs. UNIX topic here ...
