In this environment (multi-platforms but CLI based), you have few
options (if we limit to Open Source solutions):
- Perl with Test::Simple, Test::More and Test::Expect

  The advantage is that we could possibly extend this to regression test
the GUI (http://sourceforge.net/projects/x11guitest/)
- Ruby with Test::Unit
