I dont think the suggestions are mutaly exlusive my idea with the SNMP
MIB:s is to get a partial name translations for unknown OID:s
Which gives a clue of what it is i.e pointing out a manufacturer or
organisation etc.
In case where we *know* the OID name through our own naming table
that's even better.
I would like to see other comment on your suggestion as I can't judge if
there is any drawbacks.
