Hi..

This is a bit of a silly time to mention it,
You're a bit late ;-) 0.10.7 is already on the way...

but I just upgraded to 0.10.6 to avoid a crash loading a capture. It fixed that. :-)

However, now when I'm hopping from frame to frame looking at SMB traffic, the frame detail view window keeps resetting its scroll position to the top of the packet. In 0.10.4 the position was remembered, which is an enormous help when you are trying to compare values that don't show up without scrolling.
That's only true for GTK1, GTK2 is doing how it should do. Unfortunately I don't know (or cannot remember) any reasons why :-(, as nothing changed in that part for a while.

Then I took a look at the preferences, hoping something there might do the trick. The UI "packet list selection" and "protocol tree selection" items both looked possible, but when I changed them and clicked Apply, I got an error popup indicating that I didn't select a font. No I didn't -- never even visited that dialog page! Seems like there should be some default there, as indeed the program presents perfectly acceptable output as-is. Without altering the font config (which I'm loath to do, as I don't know what the present default settings are) it seems that I can't change any other preferences.

I've checked in a fix for this, it was a problem only with GTK1 when having no previous preferences file available (or the setting wasn't in that file). The default font name in that case was misspelled and therefore not existing.
