We might want to have another installer page, that let's the user choose 
which file types he likes to have attached from a "list of checkboxes", 
so the user can select the associations required.

As it's one of the first things I'm doing after installing Ethereal, is 
adding the .cap extension to Ethereal by hand, I would like to have this 
done by the installer for me :-)

I've added an additional page to another NSIS installer for a different 
project before, so it won't be too hard to get.

One question remaining: What does the uninstaller should do with this?
