I am getting the following error anytime I click in the hex dump
display pane.

** ERROR **: file proto_draw.c: line 169 (expand_tree): assertion failed: (finfo->tree_type >= 0 && finfo->tree_type < num_tree_types)
aborting...
Abort (core dumped)

On Windows I get "Unspecified fatal error encountered, aborting"

While the Unix error is certainly more informative neither it nor the
stack trace I get are particularly meaningful to me.
