just refers to it as Terminal Equipment (TE1 or TE2), as it might just
send a digitized version of what you speak into the mouthpiece of your
phone....

Then again, I think ATM uses the "Network" and "User" terminology, so I
don't know if that should be used universally, or whether LAPB should
still use "DTE" and "DCE" rather than "User" and "Network".
