Description

The WCP dissector could crash while decompressing data.

Impact

It may be possible to make Wireshark crash by injecting a malformed packet onto the wire or by convincing someone to read a malformed packet trace file.

Resolution

Upgrade to Wireshark 1.12.5, 1.10.14 or later.

Edit 2015-10-13: Corrected the bug number from 10844 to 10978.
