Name: TLS/SSL decryption crash
Date: January 7, 2015
Affected versions: 1.12.0 to 1.12.2, 1.10.0 to 1.10.11
Fixed versions: 1.12.3, 1.10.12
Wireshark could underflow a buffer while decypting TLS/SSL sessions. Discovered by Noam Rathaus.
It may be possible to make Wireshark crash by injecting a malformed packet onto the wire or by convincing someone to read a malformed packet trace file.
Upgrade to Wireshark 1.12.3, 1.10.12 or later.
Riverbed is Wireshark's primary sponsor and provides our funding. They also make great products that fully integrate with Wireshark.
