Adding new features sometimes requires changing the GUI...
> can not press any keyboard combinatorics to open the window to type in pcap. Space deselects the interface. Enter deselects interface. Tab will not shift focus. F6 will not shift focus. Instead, I am required to take fingers off keyboard, move to mouse, and either double click or at least move focus away from the check box and press enter.
At least on my machine, I can do CRTL-k to get the capture options window and then pressing the TAB key shifts the focus.
After one TAB, I can use SPACE to toggle 'Capture on all interfaces'.
After another TAB, I can use SPACE to toggle 'Capture all in promiscuous mode'.
After another TAB, I can use SPACE to open the 'Manage Interface' window.
After another TAB, I can use SPACE to get a GUI for 'Capture Filter'.
After another TAB, I can use the keyboard to enter a capture filter.
This should be all default behavior for keyboard navigation in a complex window.
Doesn't this work on your machine? If not, than it is a bug and please report it.
The difference between the old version and the new version is, that the initial focus
on the old version was the capture filter text box, now it is the list of interfaces.
It might be a good idea to change that back... Please note that the capture options
dialog box only came back recently in the developer version...
