There is another reason to use WS 1.0.  I, for one, do not intend to
purchase any more MS software.  This outdated OS meets most of our
Windows needs (testing, etc) in this hetero environment.  So please
realize that some of us don't want the latest and greatest Windows OS.
 And thanks for everything.  WS is wonderful!
