Just simply computing number of request send v/s number of replies received and correlating the if their is percentage loss in the same.

How do you mean? Can you provide an example of that statistics?

ICMP is not really a request/response based protocol so there are in
general no requests/responses at all in this protocol.
(Except for echo request/echo reply but those two icmp types are
generally the least interesting icmp packets of all to look for when
analyzing captures.)
