I know this problem may be not relevant to wireshark, but I am of strong curiosity about that.
 
I always see this option in the packet captured but i don't know how tcp timestamp ("TTS" is for short temporarily) is produced. I've seen "rfc1323 tcp extensions for high performance" which explains TTS, but it only explains the purpose of it and does not say the detail mechanism to produce this parameter. From some docs I only know that TTS is produced following physical clock ticks as closely as possible.
 
Any one here can explain more detail things?
