If I might venture a guess, it's the switch from return to break, together with line 459. I reverted those and it was working on Windows.

I confirm this commit is the culprit. I'm trying to track down the bug.

I am quite sure that the built-in ones are compiled and I know for sure that I have not changed anything in my Python extcaps.

Again, please take a look at commit 68ec514b5f63e09a1628df321c0e5240edd54edc

I'm trying to reproduce the case. Are the extcap compiled? Do they run properly from cmdline?

Hi Roland

This is a problem with all extcaps including the ones included with Wireshark.

Hi

One thing that let's me fail spectacularly on Windows are the Python Paths. I have to use specialized batch files to run the python scripts. A small howto is at the beginning of the extcap_example.py in ./doc/

Are all extcaps failing, or just your own?

Roland

Not for me. Problem persists with this commit reverted.
