I looked at the code here – it’s not going to be easy.  I believe there would be three steps:

 

  1. Deregister subtree array entries
  2. Deregister field array entries
  3. Deregister the protocol

 

The code is pretty dense in this area.

 

I’m going to look for an alternative for what I’m trying to achieve.

I’ve included proto.h in the source code.  Why isn’t the linker finding this function?

 

Are you building a plugin?  proto_deregister_protocol() symbol is not exported currently (it does not have WS_DLL_PUBLIC in its declaration)

I’m using VS2013 on Windows 10 and I pulled the latest version of the master branch.
