It's still in the source tree, and I made the 1.99.0 autofoo and nmake builds, at least, use it.
If it's considered useful, we should build it.
If it's not considered useful, we should presumably get rid of it from the source tree.

I see the UN*Xes we support falling into these groups:
1) most Linux distributions, the *BSDs, Solaris 11:
the OS supplier provides a package management system and package repository, and that repository includes a Wireshark package;
2) HP-UX, various versions of Solaris, AIX(?), OS X:
there are third-party package repositories of some sort, with Wireshark packages (HP-UX Porting and Archiving Centre, whatever there is for Solaris these days, whatever there is for AIX, Fink/MacPorts);
3) OS X:
there's a package from wireshark.org.
The vendors of the OSes in category 2) are presumably the Unix vendors that don't supply their own Wireshark packages; that's the majority of commercial Unix vendors, for what that's worth.
