Ah, OK. Looks like I just should not try to do GUI changes. Maybe someone
else can pick up the idea and do it correctly.

For (Qt) GUI Changes, you need to use qt-design (or qt-creator)

How do I get rid of this attempt now?

Click on Abandon ;-)
