You need to use this fix :

+/* linking C functions */
+extern "C"
+{
+#include "../summary.h"
+}

Or pick up the current top-of-trunk SVN version, wherein summary.h has the extern "C" stuff in it (it belongs there, not in code that includes summary.h).
