Hi,
Have you set up your environment by
running
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio
10.0\VC\bin\vcvars32.bat" well vcvars64.bat in your case?
at the command prompt?
What is the out put of just typing
nmake?
I get
C:\wireshark>nmake
Microsoft (R) Program Maintenance
Utility Version 10.00.30319.01

Hi,
Have you tried
typing the command rather than copy-paste as suggested?
nmake -f Makefile.nmake verify_tools

See: http://ask.wireshark.org/questions/9493/wireshark-build-on-visual-studio-2010 Please let us know if the info helps to fix your problem. If so, we'll need to update the Developer's Guide (or add a test to themakefile.nmake or something ....).
