Git started running out of open file descriptors on the 25th,
apparently due to insufficient garbage collection. I fsck'ed and gc'ed
the repository by hand and resumed synchronization from r40004. It
appears to be fixed but if there are any problems I'll re-import the
git repository from scratch.
