Wireshark-dev: [Wireshark-dev] lua dissectors for an onc-rpc protocol

I'd like to write a dissector (in lua) for vxi-11 and onc-rpc
protocol. The only refence I've found on how to do this is here:

http://www.wireshark.org/lists/wireshark-dev/200702/msg00311.html

Specifically:

If it runs on top of some other RPC protocol - i.e., if by "rpc
protocol" you mean a protocol that is implemented using some RPC
mechanism such as ONC RPC or DCE RPC - then, no, you can't, and you
*shouldn't*; there's already a mechanism for registering dissectors
for ONC RPC-based and DCE RPC-based protocols.

(btw, in case anyone is interested, the vxi-11 specs are here:
http://www.vxibus.org/?q=node/206 )

Thanks!
   -Dale
