Sorry, I read 2.16 as 2.1.6. Must be getting old :( I guess it is back to the drawing-board for me then.

Ooops: We're talking Glib not Gtk in this case.

 The principle remains the same: Wireshark currently supports Glib
versions starting with 2.4.
