I was greeted with this message after resuming my computer from

Error while capturing packets: read error: PacketReceivePacket failed
Please report this to the Wireshark developers. (This is not a crash;
please do not report it as such.)

Right before I hibernated the computer I was capturing traffic going
through
my Option 3G PC-card. The last thing I did before actually
hibernating the
computer was to disconnect the 3G card connection. Not sure if the
message
appeared at that point or when the computer woke up again.
Disconnecting the 3G card connection probably caused the problem.
Similar things have been reported on Linux.
Report this to the WinPcap developers; ask them if that's an expected
error in that case.
It's an expected behavior. I think that the 3G adapter (being it managed by
the npf.sys driver or by netmon, I don't know), disappear, and this gets
propagated all the way up to PacketReceivePacket, that fails because the
adapter is no longer available.
I don't know exactly what happens if you hibernate while capturing on an
ethernet card, I think PacketReceivePacket won't fail.
Have a nice day
