So does it crash when the overlay scrollbar is disabled?  The 2nd bullet says
"The crash happens when trying to start a capture" but no backtrace is given. 
The two backtraces given look like they're caused by the glib/gtk warnings
(caused by the overlay scrollbar).  If it does crash when the overlay scrollbar
is disabled, please send a backtrace of that crash.
