Yes, it can be closed from my point of view. Although a detailed description on
how to implement a capture using tcpdump and ssh is missing, there is enough
information available to get there, either using the python example, or writing
something else. I had a short test running with a bash-script realizing this
feature, but I did not want to release it.

If someone really needs an example, one of the first versions of the example in
the patchset for the extcap integration patch, was a python script implementing
exactly that.
