Either 1) different handling of the SIOCGIWMODE ioctl by bonding devices in
recent 3.x kernels or 2) different types of bonding devices.

I'll have to spend some time looking at Linux kernel code paths to see why
SIOCGIWMODE gets ENODEV, of all things, for those devices.
