OS VERSION: Ubuntu 14.04

When you set:

% gsettings set com.canonical.desktop.interface scrollbar-mode normal

And then run:

% wireshark

It goes into an apparently infinite loop, which in a few minutes generates 1.6
million lines, of which the following are the "sort -u" result:

(wireshark:9396): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_get_qdata: assertion
'G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed
(wireshark:9396): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_set_qdata_full: assertion
'G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed
(wireshark:9396): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: invalid unclassed pointer in cast to
'GObject'
(wireshark:9396): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: invalid unclassed pointer in cast to
'GtkOrientable'
(wireshark:9396): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: invalid unclassed pointer in cast to
'GtkRange'
(wireshark:9396): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: invalid unclassed pointer in cast to
'GtkScrollbar'
(wireshark:9396): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: invalid unclassed pointer in cast to
'GtkWidget'
(wireshark:9396): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_orientable_get_orientation: assertion
'GTK_IS_ORIENTABLE (orientable)' failed
(wireshark:9396): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_range_get_adjustment: assertion
'GTK_IS_RANGE (range)' failed
(wireshark:9396): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_widget_set_name: assertion
'GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed

If you then set:

% gsettings set com.canonical.desktop.interface scrollbar-mode overlay-auto

and run wireshark again, everything works perfectly. Since all other
applications that I use work perfectly with scrollbar-mode set to normal, it
looks like the problem is in wireshark.

I've attached the first 1000 lines of the resulting log, which contains all of
the messages listed above.
