We need more information to get anywhere with this. If you can recover the temp
file after the crash and load that back into Wireshark. If that causes a crash
then there is a dissector bug which can be fixed if we get the capture file.
Closing as invalid, feel free to reopen with more information.
As Jeff suggested please try 1.8.3 or a development version.
