I find the same output in 1.6.12(pre) as in 1.8.4(pre), as shown in attachment
8907 (without the name resolution of course, since I don't have the MIB). 

I see that the long string is there ("TUG:Slot=0;Po...), but also that its type
is octetstring. I guess this can be binary data, hence the print in HEX?
