I opened a small capture file and did a save as "mycapture.pcapng" to test the
new format.
Next I did some commenting on the first packet. (Cool feature!)
When I save (i.e CTRL-S) the .pcapng file (again) it does not show me the old
name. I.e. File name Edit box is empty, it behaves as if "Save as".
And it also forgot the file .pcapng type (i.e. extension) defaulting back to
(save as type) .pcap. (For Save as this would be normal on my machine.)
When I select the file (name) from the browse box it first tells me the file
already exists. If I go ahead (no surprise) it saves the file, but not under
the selected name, but with an additional .pcapng extension. I.e: Instead of
"mycapture.pcapng" I get "mycapture.pcapng.pcapng".
I checked if this issue has been reported by someone else. I did not see it. If
I missed it, I am sorry.
Keep up the good work!
Best regards,
Alcindo
