If, in a question:

  * I type "UN" {backslash} {star} "X", it comes out as UN\*X.

  * I type {backquote} "C" ":" {backslash} "Program Files" {backslash}
"Wireshark", it comes out as C:\\Program Files\\Wireshark.

When I'm *typing* the question, the "how this will look" display is correct. 
However, when the question is *displayed*, it's showing extra backslashes.

This also happens in answers (which is where I first discovered it) and in
comments.
