The problem is that 8/16/24 versions result in different formats when shown in
screen:
.... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... = label 32 bits
.... .... .... .... .... .... = label 24 bits
.... .... .... .... = label 16 bits

So, unfortunately, they are rather not interchangeable.
