Thanks to Jonathan Atkins and Jeff Morriss for their four comments. Actually,
our reassembly issue was solved on 12/6/2010. Sorry for a late reply. At that
time, I noticed from README.developer doc that if the tree is not allocated
(i.e. tree=NULL), how we should do. I just commented "if (tree)" out in the
code that works in 1.2.1 and got the results expected. The difference for
running the same code is that the tree can be allocated in 1.2.1, but cannot in
1.4.1. I am not sure if it is needed to improve something like this in 1.4.1. I
think this ticket can be closed.
