1) I am using the files from wireshark-1.4.1.tar.bz2 and Visual Studio 2010 to
build a binary package under Windows.
2) Whilst executing 'nmake -f makefile.nmake packaging' I got the following
error:
IF YOU GET AN ERROR HERE, check the MSVC_VARIANT setting in config.nmake:
MSVC2005 vs. MSVC2005EE! (wireshark.nsi:437)
File: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio
10.0\VC\redist\x86\Microsoft.VC100.CRT*.*" -> no files found.
The problem is in the config.nmake file ~line 891: missing '\' before '*.*'
3) I made the following change locally from:
!ELSEIF "$(MSVC_VARIANT)" == "MSVC2010"
MSVCR_DLL=$(PROGRAM_FILES)\Microsoft Visual Studio
10.0\VC\redist\$(TARGET_MACHINE)\Microsoft.VC100.CRT*.*
To:
!ELSEIF "$(MSVC_VARIANT)" == "MSVC2010"
MSVCR_DLL=$(PROGRAM_FILES)\Microsoft Visual Studio
10.0\VC\redist\$(TARGET_MACHINE)\Microsoft.VC100.CRT\*.*
4) Step 2 no longer generates an error and build completes.
5) I looked at the latest version of the file (config.nmake) and it is still
missing the path seperator.
