I wanted to make some optimizations to several IDL generated Wireshark
dissectors so I decided to have some fun and try generating some of the
dissectors using pidl as distributed in Wireshark tools/pidl.
Results:
1. epan/dissectors/pidl/mapi: make gives error message:
mapi.idl:1592: EcDoRpc: property 'flag' not allowed on 'FUNCTION'
2. dissectors/pidl/nspi:
The dissector files are generated but have what appear to be some
non-trivial differences compared to the current files in SVN
epan/dissectors.
I don't know if the IDL generated dissectors are being re-generated or whether
changes are just being made and committed to the generated dissector source.
Since the dissector changes I wanted to make were optimizations only (and since
I'm clueless about pidl), I'll just file this bug report "for the record" and
leave my changes for another time.
