That's by design. The number column is aligned right. This is to allow
expanding number to the left while retaining the decimal position

   1
  ..
   9
  10
  ..
  99
 100

as opposed to 

 1
 ..
 9
 10
 ..
 99
 100

But if you don't like it, you can change it from the column drop down menu. :)
