Well I have 4 GB of memory but have a tendency to have too many programs open
at the same time.

I guess it is the 32 bit edition - I just picked it from the download menu at
wireshark.org.

wireshark-bin: Mach-O executable i386
I'm fully aware I cannot load terabytes of traces ;-)
But on the windows edition it get a error message telling me the trace cannot
be loaded - before the program aborts.
BTW: I can load the same 340 MB trace on my old powerpc based iMAC running
Leopard.
