           Product: Wireshark
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Enhancement

         Component: Extras
        AssignedTo: wireshark-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
        ReportedBy: dkg@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Build Information:

It would be nice to be able to interpret the packets sent and received by git
and git-daemon when conversing over the git protocol. e.g. the traffic sent and
received from these commands:

 git clone git://foo.example/exampleproj
 cd exampleproj
 git remote update

i don't know enough about the git protocol (or writing packet dissectors for
wireshark) to write such a thing, nor can i find any concrete docs about what
the git wire-protocol actually is.

but i figured i'd open this wishlist bug here in the hopes that someone can
pick it up and run with it.

Thanks for wireshark. It's a great tool.
