Also I have repeated the original test (FTP loop) with
tcp.analyze_sequence_numbers: FALSE

Result: tshark runs longer, but after capturing 400 MB it crashes
with out-of-memory exception. 
core dump size=3.5GB (the machine has 4GB virtual memory)

I raise priority, because these observations imply that long-term capturing is
not possible.
