I have much more detailed code (since I have access to the ftp server)
that could also be released. I've added support to Wireshark for
decoding all of the management frames. That was very useful for
debugging my drivers. http://www.wireshark.org/

I also have code for u-boot that can load the firmware onto an
embedded powerline device. We don't have flash on our boards, the
firmware is loaded from the main system into the powerline device.
u-boot is boot firmware most commonly used on Linux based devices.

I need your ok in order to release those two pieces of code. I can
send them for review if you're interested.

Jon...

Here is the feedback:

... snip ..

As for Wireshark, anyone can use Wireshark to reverse engineer ethernet
frames. Powerline frames are another matter. The fact that they had
legal access to our customer facing documentation should not make any
difference. A publicly available wireshark tool would good, too. Go
ahead.

... snip ....

Let me know if there are other questions.

Bill Wike
