Because it reads bitwise data directly from an input buffer and outputs that
same data to the user interface (ascribing field names to portions of the
bitwise data so the user is able to make sense of them), it is limited to the
size of the data in question for what it is able to output to the user. This is
a limitation because if some process were to be done on the bitwise data,
Wireshark is unable to output the data post-processing to the user interface.
The decompression processor attached could be use to process the data. It
produces a general-use vector of strings for the purpose of outputting to the
UI data beyond what is directly referenced in the buffer while still relying on
that data.
